Mukesh Ambani, is the head of the Mumbai based petrochemical giant Reliance Industries and fifth richest man of the world. His house is among the most luxurious houses of the world having a worth of about $43 billion. In downtown Mumbai he also owns a 27 story skyscraper.

The idea of his most expensive house was given by her wife who was influenced from the interior Asian style decor in the Mandarin Oriental in New York. Every story is in a different specification. This project was designed by Hirsch Bedner Associates.

2. Updown Court, England:

It is a beautiful piece of art located 25 miles away from London. It has got large stupendous gates for experiencing it’s the outstanding beauty. It costs for about 85 million British pounds (+$150 million U$). There are 103 rooms, 24-carat-gold leafing on the study’s mosaic floor and five swimming pools. A part from this, there is a squash court, blowing alley, 50-seat screening room, heated marble driveway, tennis court, and helipad as well. In underground garage eight limousines are fitted.

3. Versailles, Florida USA

It is the largest family home ever built having 30 bedrooms and 23 bathrooms with roller skating rink, bowling alley, ball room, baseball field, a 60 foot by 120 foot Grand Hall with a 30-foot stained glass dome, two grand staircases, a 37 foot by 30 foot kitchen, 10 satellite kitchens, a two-story wine cellar and a rock grotto with three separate spas behind an 80-foot waterfall, two tennis courts, Children Theater and Olympic sized swimming pool.

This huge building was an initiative of mogul David Siegel and his former beauty queen wife Jacqueline. The current price of this palace is $75 million. An estimated amount of $25 million are to spend on it.

4. Fleur De Lys, Beverly Hills – Mariah Carey’s palace

Mariah Carey has got one of the most expensive houses of the world. It is located in Beverly islands. The total cost of this house is approximately $125 million. A Texan billionaire actually built this palace on an area of 5 acres. The basic idea was taken from the former home of Marie Antoinette, the Versaille Palace. There are ornamental gardens, rolling lawns, a manager house on 3000 sq foot, a lavish garden folly, staff quarters for 10 people, a championship tennis court and a spa and pool with a pavilion.

5. Hearst Mansion, Beverly Hill -The Godfather Mansion

The total cost of this house is about $165 million. It also comes in one of the most expensive houses of USA. It is actually the former home of US newspaper tycoon William Randolph Hearst. This house has got three swimming pools, 29 bedrooms, cinema, nightclub, and several tennis courts. The decoration has been done with the statues from Hearst Castle in San Simeon and marvelous paintings of Davies.

6. Acqua Liana, Florida – The most luxurious eco mansion

This luxurious house has been built by the real estate artist Frank McKinney. It is built on 15,000 sq foot having 7 bedrooms, and 7 bathrooms. Bathrooms are also luxurious having a waterfall spa with a fire feature in the water, floating sun terraces, and an arched aquarium wet bar. There is a solar panel as well which generates energy for two or three average sized houses.

7. Villa Leopolda, France – The mansion that caused a man to lose a 75 million deposit

This was actually built for King Leopold II of Belgium in 1902. The approximate cost of this villa is $750 million. There are many trees of olive, orange, lemon and cypress which require 50 full time gardeners to look after them.  The total area of the gardens is about 20 acres. Lily Safra, a famous Jewish philanthropist, was its owner who sold this house to Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov.

10. Barbie Malibu Mansion – a life-size mansion inspired by Barbie’s dream house

Jonathan Adler made this blond doll’s outrageous home in the honor of the 50th birthday of Barbie. The bedroom is lined with pink carpet. The closet is filled with 50 pairs of pink peep-toe heels while her kitchen is decorated with cupcake-making ingredients.  There are 25 vintage Barbie dolls on display in the in-house museum. Adler’s favorite furnishings are hanged in the living room which include an original Andy Warhol portrait of Barbie of about $200,000 and a chandelier which is designed by “Project Runway” contestant Chris March. 64 dolls are used to create a black and white wall mirror. It is simply awesome.
