Be it your honeymoon, vacation, or a trip to celebrate any other special occasion, you are always looking for a hotel room with the best view of the scenery; a room where you can wake up in the morning, look out the window and gasp: WOW.

If your destination is the Caribbean, that room with the perfect view is at the Jade Mountain Resort.

Located in the island nation of St. Lucia, Jade Mountain is part of the Anse Chastanet Resort, which is an amazingly beautiful place in its own right. The Anse Chastanet is located along a postcard perfect beach and has all the amenities of a high end Caribbean beach resort – from the pool and the spa to the hammock, waited upon by the always attentive staff, ready to serve you your drinks with the umbrella in them while you relax in the hammock and take in the scenery.

St. Lucia is a lush and jungle filled island, which gives the Anse Chastanet an outdoorsy side that is hard to come by at other Caribbean resorts. The resort organizes a number of nature walks and hikes for its guests and its grounds include 12 miles (19 km) of private mountain biking trails.

The Jade Mountain, which is actually a resort within a resort, blends perfectly into the hillside above Anse Chastanet. The resort offers 24 infinity pool suites – as “Sanctuaries” – with open walls looking over the strikingly green Piton Mountains and the Caribbean Sea. The fact is that there is no hotel room in the Caribbean offering a more stunning view than the Jade Mountain.

To add to the general feeling of the surroundings, each sanctuary is decorated with a number of local plant life, with 20 different species of tropical hardwood finished floors.

The bathrooms of these sanctuaries are a totally different experience altogether. Adorned with designer European his-and-her sinks, rain showers with six adjustable height body sprays and a whirlpool, accompanied with mountain and ocean views; it is an experience one never forgets. And guess what? The best part is yet to come!

Each sanctuary is accompanied with your own private infinity pool – placed at the edge of the room – offering you better views than any other point in your room.
Jade Mountain offers its own private gym and spa. The most popular of its many fabulous services are the Chocolate spa treatment, using locally grown cocoa beans and the Menage-a-Spa, which is conducted by three therapists at once. Added to all this is the access that Jade Mountain guests get to all of the Anse Chastanet Resort facilities including the mountain biking trails, two sand beaches, ocean kayaks and snorkeling.

All of this, of course, comes for a price. Rates at the smallest Star Sanctuary run from around $1200 per night in the lowest season to $1500 per night during the peak season. The costs at the most impressive Sun Sanctuary are $1600 and $2100, respectively. For others, the resort offers a mid range Moon Sanctuary as well. The basic rates do not include the 18 percent tax.

If you are looking for the best deal, it is highly recommended that you book the all inclusive package. It includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, afternoon tea and snacks, freedom over the stocked mini refrigerator in your suite, use of tennis court and equipment, use of all non-motorized equipment for sports like snorkeling, ocean kayaking, sunfish sailing, windsurfing, mountain biking, plus unlimited beverages – house wine, beer and other alcoholic drinks, premium brands included. It also covers all taxes and gratuities. All that added, and you are looking at approximately $2000 per night for two people, give or take a few hundred dollars.

That may hit you as expensive at first, but compare this to suites at Westin and Marriot hotels that cost around the same, but fail to offer all the inclusive features, not to mention the spectacular views from the infinity pool sanctuaries. Without argument, Jade Mountain is a very special place to spend a very special occasion.

Awesome! I felt like I was there. Wish I was…..
i love hat i saw place send this info and more would love to spend my homeymoon here .thank you soo much.
Been there, and we will definitely go back! No pictures, no matter how good there, can possibly do it justice. The feeling of standing there or floating in the infinity pool of a room that is completely missing a wall, and still completely private, is beyond comprehension.
Here are a few of my pictures from an absolutely perfect vacation: http://picasaweb.google.com/ccannizz11/Travel?feat=directlink
If you ever get a chance, you MUST go here!

The same 2 mountains are in just about EVERY background. O_o
Stayed here for 8 days in June 07 for my honeymoon. I have traveled a lot and this is the most amazing place I have ever been. Never mind the fantastic views, this whole hotel is one of a kind. Food, service, everything is top notch. Can’t wait to go back someday!
Well I didn’t stay here, but I’ve been to St Lucia before, and I absolutely loved it. It’s a gorgeous place, even if you don’t have $2000 a night to spend at this particular resort.
I think I preferred Barbados more, though. The people in Barbados are a lot friendlier than the locals in St Lucia. In St Lucia, tourists tend to stick out like a sore thumb if you go into the local areas (and that’s half the fun of traveling somewhere new). The people in Barbados were a lot friendlier and a lot more helpful.
Amazing
Wow, didn’t know it could be so awesome.

thank you for your visit, I saw your blog, its lovely and full of information. thank you.
One of the more beautiful hotels i’ve seen. Thank you for posting this.
they just had to ruin this paradise with their un-sustainable man-made trash building. shame. leave the beauty thats left alone
^ Have you been here? The owners are amazing people who have gone out of their way to keep the building organic and EXTREMELY sustainable. Without seeing it in person you shouldn’t pass judgment. It is better than those MEGA-hotels that as tourist factories. There is very little electricity used at this hotel. No air conditioning, low lighting, Etc…
Wow!
What amazing views. Great photos.
