1 – Tiger’s Nest Monastery

The temple is perched precariously on the edge of steep high rock in Paro Valley at the height of round about 3,000-ft. It is among the most sacred places in Bhutan

2 – Wat Rong Khun in Chiang Mai, Thailand

It is a very unique temple; unlike to any Buddhist temple.

3 – Prambanan – Hindu temple in Central Java, Indonesia

Its history goes back in 850 CE. It’s having 8 main shrines whereas 250 small shrines surrounding them.

4 – Shwedagon Paya or Pagoda in Myanmar

Exact history is not known. It is a common belief that it is 2,500 years old but some archaeologists have estimated that it was constructed between the 6th & 10th century.

5 – Temple of Heaven in Beijing, China

This Taoist temple was built in 14th century during the rule of Emperor Yongle of the famous Ming Dynasty.

6 – Chion-in Temple

The temple was constructed in 1234 CE. The place is having a very interesting history; the temple actually honors the founder of Jodo (Pure Land) Buddhism. Honen was a priest and fasted to death exactly on that place.

7 – Borobudur

It was discovered in the 19th century when Dutch occupiers of Indonesia reached this great ancient ruin very distant in the jungles of Java. They discovered the complex of Borobudur. Almost 2 million cubic feet (55,000 m³) of stones are used in the making of this gigantic building. This structure contains about 2,700 relief panels and 504 Buddha statues in it.

8 – The Harmandir Sahib, in Punjab, India

This Indian name means The Abode of God. It is also popular as the Golden Temple. It is the most hallowed shrine of Sikhism.

9 – The Temple of Srirangam in Tiruchirapalli, India

Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple in Trichy is the world’s largest active Hindu temple. No doubt Ankor Wat is the largest of all temples, but as it is inactive today therefore the Temple of Srirangam leads in this way.

10 – Ankor Wat

This last but definitely not the least one is the largest temple (at the time nonfunctioning) on our earth and a very big source of inspiration to hundreds of novels and action movies made in Hollywood.

it is a great experience to just sit at home and see all the great beautiful Mandir of the world, at this time when it is very difficult to visit all such places i can’t afford Thanks for traveling around the world
