Cousine Island, Seychelles

Nineteenth Century Italian patriot Giueppe Garibaldi was bought to Caprera in 1855 and planted the first pine trees, which now covers the land. After 100 years death of Garibaldi’s death, Caprera was freed from army restrictions and the area now fully open to the public. There are no hotels on Caprera, but it’s just a 15-minute boat ride to the Costa Smeralda.

Harris is a famed for its beaches. In truth, a fair part of its highly indented coastline is very rocky. And perhaps the best of them all, certainly the largest and the most spectacular of them all, is Luskentyre Beach.

Luskentyre Bay bites deeply into the western side of South Harris. Although the isles are called Lewis and Harris, they are actually one single landmass. Luskentyre Beach is located just a few miles south of Tarbert. Tarbert is the capital of Harris, but it is also here that the island is so narrow that it almost becomes separated into two. Just like at Luskentyre, a deep indents have been carved so far into the land on both coastal sides of the island, that they almost meet in the middle to separate Harris and Lewis into two islands.

At high tide much of the bay is submerged, becoming part of the Sound of Taransay and looking out to the island of Taransay. This island gained media recognition after a BBC program based a group of people here for one year to live on the island’s resources as ‘castaways’.

New Chums Beach in New Zealand

New Chums Beach is in Wainuiototo Bay, northwest of Whangapoua Beach and approximately 15 kilometers northeast of Coromandel Township. Reaching this beach means taking a 30-minute walk.

Wading through the estuary at the northern end of Whangapoua Beach, follow the shoreline and you’ll find a track that crosses the low point in the headland saddle over to the scenic New Chums Beach. It’ll be worth the walk, for you too will get to meet a stunning stretch of golden sand, fringed by pohutukawa trees and native forest, which is deserted much of the year. And you’ll see for yourself just why this little piece of paradise has hit the international limelight.

Playón de Mismaloya Beach in Mexico

While thinking about romantic Mexican nights and tropical seaside vacations, Playon de Mismaloya comes in mind first, located just 60 miles south of Puerto Vallarta is the type of beach that forces its guests to kick back and relax.

There is nothing to do on Playon de Mismaloya, and that is its attraction. If you wants to do little hiking on the island then try at Gotelito Desconocido, one of most significant turtle and sea bird reserves in Mexico.You can also hike through the forests in search of waterfalls and many rivers that flow through the island.

Whidbey Island in Washington, USA

If you like beaches, which have, more than gold sand and green waters then gear up to Deception Pass State Park in Washington. Deception Pass is a 4,134-acre marine park with more that 77,000 feet of saltwater shoreline and 34,000 feet of freshwater coast.

You can trek there among redwood trees or walk over the Deception Pass Bridge having view on rocky waters below. That rugged cliffs at Deception Pass is ideal place to view the American bald eagles, and sunbathers can thoroughly be wet at Maxwelton Beach while viewing Olympic Mountains from nearby.
