Today I have some very useful safety camping tips for you. Follow them to enjoy maximum experience of your camping:
-
Set camp before darkness prevails. Traveling in night most of the time causes accidents. So, always move during day.
-
Check for possible dangers. Check in a satisfactory way to make sure there is no glass, sharp objects, branches, large ant beds, poison ivy, bees and hazardous terrain.

-
Leave the areas of natural hazards. Have a look at boundary of the land and for possible trouble if rained.
-
Look over the site carefully. Select a level ground which has enough room to spread your appurtenance
-
Make fire in a safer area. Your open fires and cooking appliances should be at a distance from your tent. Now you are safe and prevented ignition from sparking flames and heat.
-
It is important to make sure your fires are always attended. Search for an area for a fire where you can be sure that fire will not spread laterally or vertically. A grill or stone surface is best for it.
-
Beware! you are surrounded by wildlife. Always have a flashlight with you at night. Many animals came out at night for feeding. Flashlight will keep them away. By keeping your campsite clean you can avoid bears. Never leave food, garbage, coolers, cooking appliances or utensils out in the open.
-
Be cautious of bugs. Avoid all those things which attract stinging insects; so, wear light colored clothes and don’t use perfume and cologne.
-
There may also be poisonous plants; beware of them. You should have knowledge about the dangerous plants that are common in the area where you built your camp.
-
Be sure about water before drinking it. No doubt stream water looks very clean and pure but it may have water-borne parasites and micro-organisms. Drinking such water will cause discomfort or serious illness to you.
Hope you have found it informative and useful.
