If you can’t go out on new year’s eve, don’t feel bad! Celebrating New Years does not necessarily mean that you spend large amounts of money.

You can actually celebrate New Years Eve at home, by doing the following, and trust me, it won’t be so bad!

1. Invite all your loved ones, including family, friends, business associates, neighbors, whoever you know will be alone to celebrate New Years Eve at your home. If you don’t want to invite so many people, you can stick to your close friends or family.

2. Ask all of them to bring a snack, drink, a CD or game of their choice, which they would like to play. This way, everyone can do whatever they love the most on new year.

3. Set up your music system, iPod or computer to play music. Remember to shuffle the playlists and arrange the best songs in order.

4. Decorate your room to create a festive atmosphere.

5. Plan to do something crazy at midnight on New Years Eve. Get some suggestions from your friends, and do whatever you enjoy the most.

6. Watch the ball drop on New Years Eve in Times Square in New York City. Keep in mind the time difference from your time zone.

7. Explain your resolutions and have your guests do the same over dinner.

8. Serve a meal and snacks shortly before or just after midnight that you would not normally eat. Your guests will help you take care of this with their own contributions.

9. Play the games and DVDs that your guests brought. Try to stay awake as late as you can and make sleeping arrangements for guests who have been drinking.

10. Remember to take pictures and make videos so that you remember all the fun you had.
