The streets of Las Vegas covered with hundreds of people in red Santa suits on Saturday to run a 5k, as an attempt to break the World Record. 27,000 people registered for the Las Vegas marathon. A rock-in-roll theme was incorporated in the Las Vegas marathon, and 35 rock and roll bands were there with water stations and cheerleaders to help cheer the runners on.

Runners who have participated in the marathon before said that it is so much fun to run in the Santa suit that it makes you laugh the whole time you are running, and it adds good will to the entire race.

Several runners from Salt Lake City attended the Great Santa run 5k in hopes to help break the world record for most Santa’s in the same place.
