Want to celebrate New Year’s Eve in London? Here is a list of some places that will make your night memorable.

In order to make celebrating easier, underground trains and buses will run the whole night and will be free to use between 23:45 in the evening and 4.30 am.

The London Eye Firework Display

London welcomes 2010 with fireworks at the London Eye. Moreover, this time, it will be the 10th anniversary of this tourist attraction making it the official site for London’s New Year’s Eve firework display at midnight. Radio One’s DJ Nihal will be present there to entertain the crowd. However, do get there in time to enjoy as there is limited space along the River Thames.

The Ministry of Sound Live at O2

London super club Ministry of Sound’s one–off party at the O2 Arena is one of the biggest clubbing events in London this New Year’s Eve. Book your tickets in advance as this will be a very popular party.

The Bond Ball at the Kensington Close Hotel

Out of all the New Year’s Eve parties in London, the Bond Ball at the Kensington Close Hotel will be the biggest of all, including fancy dresses, great DJ’s and a casino.

Late Night Skating at the Natural History Museum

If you want to try out something different on New Year’s Eve, try the Natural History Museum’s 1000 square meter outdoor ice–skating rink.

Cruise on the Thames, Viewing the Fireworks

This one is my favorite. A New Year’s Eve cruise on London’s River Thames is the most romantic way to celebrate the New Year. This way you can enjoy the fireworks at the London Eye as well.

This is a beautiful site! I stopped by to look at your Celebrate New Years Eve in London article, but found myself intrigued by quite a few of the featured articles – good and funny stuff!

Anyway, back to the article at hand – I would love to spend NYE in London. What a cool city to go for a big party. Thanks for the great suggestions – maybe I’ll make it next year :)

Nice fireworks view. I wish to be there. But, as for 2010, I have seen many creating buzz about fireworks in Sydney. Have you seen it? It’s on youtube too. I’m sure you will be amazed.

That London Eye was put up after I was last in England, and it looks like an awesome structure. It’s really incredible that this wheel holds up 32 sealed and air-conditioned egg-shaped passenger capsules each holding 25 passengers and weighting 10 tons. This is really huge. Also it takes 30 minutes to make one revolution which is slow enough so that passengers can board and disembark without the wheel stopping! That’s something I’ve got to see next time I’m over there. For those wanting to travel to England PyxismWeeks has 21 resorts listed in its wholesale inventory for low cost week long stays, including the beautiful Macdonald Elmers Court Resort in Hampshire, only about 40 miles outside of London.
