A conflict and tussle has always been there between two schools of thought, in our world. Some people believe in no presence of any kind of super natural activities. On the other hand, a large group of people all over the world strongly believe in the existence of the paranormal or super natural activities. And because of their belief, there are some places in the world that are declared haunted. What happened here and whose spirits or ghost are living in these haunted places? Lets have a closer look.
Warner Road has our first haunted place. That is called The Screaming Tunnel. The locals of this area say that this tunnel often echoes with the screams of a young girl.And many legends are also associated with it. According to some people this is the scream of a girl who was brutally murdered by her own father. And to some people, a young girl was murdered here after being raped by a man. Third legend is that a girl with ablaze clothes took refuge in this tunnel, from a nearby burning farm, and was died here. We don’t know how much truth lies in it but according to the people here, if you lit fire in the tunnel, you will hear the scream of a girl. Now that’s scary.
On Bessie Little Bridge in Dayton, Montgomery County, the ghost of an innocent murdered girl, named Bessie, comes and haunts the bridge. the legend of this ghost is that she was deceived and murdered by her own boy friend in August 27, 1896. Locals say that she was pregnant and the boy friend didn’t want to marry her and one day he shot her dead on the bridge. All the evidences were finished and her murder was declared a suicide. On the 19th of Nov 1897, her boy friend, Albert J. Frantz was put to death in electric chair for first degree murder. After passing so many years her ghost still haunts that bridge now named after her as Bessie Little bridge.
Ohio University of America is a really haunted and freaky place. Many scary incidents happened here. the Wilson Hall of this university is famous for a witch,killing herself here after writing some devilish things on the wall with her own blood. Besides this the Washington hall of the university was once housed for basket ball players and all of them were found dead and people say that their ghosts still haunt the hall. People have also seen ghosts many times in the catacombs of the Jefferson Hall. The Ridges, once and asylum and a place for shock treatments, a woman patient disappeared from there and after five weeks she was found dead and badly decomposed. It is also said that a stain of her blooded body is still there. Overall it is said to be a cursed place.
Kelly Road of Ohioville, Pennsylvania is another mysteriously haunted short section of the road. This short track of one mile is an area where many paranormal and supernatural activities have been reported. It is said that even animals behave very strangely there.They become restless and out of control.Strange noises are heard and many unexplainable objects have been seen. All around the road, there is a dense and creepy forest. People believe that this place is cursed since long.
Alcatraz Prison, San Francisco is an island where people have been dying from centuries from accidents, murders, and suicides. This place is said to be really cursed and haunted. Not only the people living there have experienced many paranormal activities but the tourists and prisoners,guards,national park service employees have also reported it. Screaming,sobbing and shrieking sounds are normally heard in the silence of night. Most of scariest thing is that an old light house that was built in 1854 and was damaged in 1906 earth quake, reappears in the foggy nights with a green flashing light. And all of a sudden it disappears. That’s really freaky.
Edinburgh Castle of Edinburgh, Scotland. This medieval castle though has empty halls but these halls are not actually empty. But the spirits of the prisoners, who were kept here,are still roaming here.The main spots of the specters include the castle’s prison cells, the South Bridge vaults and Mary’s King Close. Some people have also seen ghost dogs,a headless drummer and the decomposed bodies of the prisoners.
