You can also add salad, ham or hard-boiled eggs and it is usually accompanied by a good beer.

This is the colloquial name used by the British to refer to a dish with sausage and mashed potatoes. The sausages are usually varied and include different types of meat: pork, lamb or veal. As an accompaniment, gravy with onions, peas, and fried onions is often added. This is another of the typical English dishes that are served in pubs due to the speed and simplicity with which it is made.
