For qualifying H1B visa, it’s necessary for alien to show that he/she is able to work in specialty occupation for which they’ve been hired by the sponsoring employer. It can be demonstrated by:
Having a relevant US college degree;
A non-US college degree with 3 years relevant high-level work experience will be considered equivalent to a relevant US college degree.
At least 12 years high-level work experience will be considered equivalent to a US college degree.
Having a State or Federal license that is required to practice in particular profession.
An alien must have to acquire the State or Federal license if there is requirement for particular specialty occupation to practice. Then he/she will qualify for the H1B visa. Such license is required for the doctors, lawyers, accountants and other similar professionals. So they have to pass the relevant state licensing examination.
