There are certain countries, around the globe which are quite dangerous. One of them is Afghanistan. While planning a holiday, one should keep this in mind. To make it easier for people, we shall compile a list of the ten most dangerous places in the world.
1. Iraq
Iraq ranks number one on the list. One is definitely not safe in this country. At one time, the oil reserves, the history and the culture of Iraq, made it a tourist spot.
However, since 2003, Iraq has suffered great violence and destruction. The United States of America has been occupying Iraq. This leaded to the result of a civil war, in the country.

The war has led to the deaths of more than 650,000 people. The most apparent threats to Iraq are IED’S, EFP’S mines and suicide bombers. The war has also led to an increase in kidnappings and killings.
The war has also resulted in a clash between different sects in Iraq. These include the Shiite security forces, the Kurdish rebels and the Al-Qaeda. More than 2 million Iraqi’s have fled to neighbouring countries. The uranium that has been used will cause serious health problems, for years to come.
2. Colombia
The biggest problem faced by Colombian citizens, is that of, kidnapping. In 1998 there were about 2338 kidnappings, which took place. Approximately, 138 out of the 2338 victims were killed.

Recent studies have labeled Colombia as number four, in a world of murders. It has also been reported to supply drugs. Reportedly, about 75% of drugs, in the world, are supplied by Colombia.
