As every other year, 2010 left us on 31st December 2010 with a number of events which will be remembered in history. Some of them will become part of our happy memories, while others will be the ones which became the reason for grief and sorrow. In the list of all such events, there are only few which remain vivid in our memories for years and are difficult to forget. Here is the list of such important events of 2010, which embarked our memories forever.

Commercial Airlines Crash Incidents

Commercial Airlines, though a big source of transport, but at the same time it’s quite risky to travel in it. Because God forbid if someone encounters an accident, the chances of survival are quite less. There have been many accidents in the history of airline. And tens of thousands of people either have lost their lives or have been badly injured. It mostly depends upon how the pilot faces all this and how does he reacts in any troubled situation. Here we are presenting the story of some airline crashes where the pilots put all their efforts to avoid the crashes and how much success they got? Lets see.

China Airlines Flight 006 faced a highly undesirable situation. There was some technical fault in one of the engines. The reason of the fault was the mistakes committed by the crew members. The whole air crew was flying the plane round the clock without any rest or break and it really disturbed their energy level. The plane took a deep plunge but with the efforts and determination of the air crew,the engine was repaired and the plane was controlled. They landed it safely to San Francisco.  There were some minor injuries but no causalities. And after this incident the government of China brought some positive changes in the flying rules and now gives proper time to the air crew to rest and chill before any flight.

Air Canada Flight 143 was flying under the supervision of Captain Robert Pearson and his first officer Maurice Quintal. The flight ran out of fuel because of the failure to convert fuel equations with the metric system. In this life threatening situation the captain who was an experienced pilot put all his efforts to save the plane and the innocent lives in it. He decided to do an emergency landing at an industrial air port in Gimli, Manitoba. While landing the nose gear of the plane collapsed. But over all it was a success and none was badly injured.
