While many of us may not have heard about it but there are certain beaches on earth which have black sand, this black sand usually renders these beaches a little different from the rest which have sand of the usual and light color.
1. Kehena Beach Hawaii

A beach with black sand, this beach is also known as the Dolphin Beach because of the Dolphins found here. This beach might not be fit to go along with children as this beach also has the reputation of being a nude beach.
2. Lost Coast California

One of the black sand beaches of the world, this beach is often usually visited by people who are hiking around, not many people come at this beach for swimming. This beach is also an attraction for people who come over here to take pictures as the coast line has very beautiful scenery.
3. Honokalani Black Sand Beach Maui

What render this beach a little different from the others are the lava pebbles that are found here. You can also find sea arch, sea caves, lava cliffs and seaside lava tubes. People come over here for diving and snorkeling.
4. Punaluu Beach Hawaii

The black sand of this beach was created by the lava which flew into the oceans from the volcano and then cooled. Green sea turtles and Hawksbill turtles are also found here and the ocean here is said to be rocky.
5. Waianapanapa Black Sand Beach Maui

The black sand of this beach was formed as a result of the waves which swept the volcanic rocks found over here for decades. Also seen here are the bridges made of natural stone and the sea caves and you can also see the old Kings highway from here.
6. Oneuli Beach Maui

Much can be done on this beach including the scuba diving, fishing, hiking, boating, camping and swimming.
