Take a ride with us as we have a look at 5 of the lowest continental points on land. It really is amazing…

South America

At 5, check out Laguna del Carbón in the Santa Cruz Province of Argentina which stands at a cool -344 feet. The Laguna del Carbón is an endorheic (that’s right, look it up!)salt lake in the Great San Julián Depression , which at just over 340 ft below sea level is the lowest point of the South American continent which has even been home to the odd dinosaur fossils!

Number 4 then takes us to Lake Assal in Africa. The crater lake situated in central Djibouti and is currently at 509 feet below sea level. The Afar Depression itself which is home to the Lake, is the second lowest land depression in the world after the Dead Sea. Thanks to its size, it holds a water volume of 400million cubic meters, so the residential run off of fresh water in to the lake is probably a good thing?

Why To Quit Your Business And Explore The World

by mudassirJuly 29, 2009 Holiday Destinations

One day somebody told me that he could not give to a charity program as she didn’t feel it good gong into debt, and that her spouse thought that a pledge to give money was actually a debt. I must have surprised the man giving the comment, as I also did agree and say that I also believe in enjoying a totally debt-free life style.

She nodded and stated, “Yep, we do not have any debt either at this time. Well, just one car…and the student loan…and the credit card… and naturally, the mortgage does not matter.”

I was totally taken aback and didn’t dare to say anything more in response to that statement.

World’s Biggest Cultural Mistakes

by mudassirJuly 23, 2009 Really Interesting

Personal space alters when you move around the world. In Mediterranean countries, if you hold back from any making physical contact with someone like touching his/her hand while talking to them or you do not express greetings upon meeting him with kisses or a warm hug, you will be considered cold. On the other hand, backslapping anyone who is neither your family member nor a good friend in Korea, you will make them bad. In Thailand, the head is regarded as a sacred part of body, so never even pat a kid on his head.
