Entertainment venues, stores, hospitals and other such places where people go in large numbers, use secret codes to pass information between their employees. These secret codes are used in crowded places by employees, so that they don’t alarm the non-staff members or alert some suspicious person.

Many big stores such as Wal-Mart have their own codes. Here is the list of 10 secret codes, which will be useful to you or will lower down your curiosity in future if you heard any of them.

1 – Code Adam

Virtually Code Adam was invented by Wal-Mart but now its internationally known code alert. This code means, “missing child”. It was first coined in 1994 in the memory of a six-year-old child Adam Walsh who was lost in a Sears department store in Florida in 1981. Later on that child’s dead body was found.
Code Adam
When this code is announced the security person will say, “ we have a code Adam” in real that means there is a child missing. Right away when the code Adam will be announced all of the security staff will start to monitor the doors and other exits of the place. If child is found in 10 minutes then police is informed and store search begins.
