Richard Garriott, son of Owen Garriott as well as a video game creator, landed back to earth after a 10 day holiday on International Space Station. It is reported that he took all this adventure just to take a few photos of earth to see how they compare to the ones his dad took 35 years back. Had someone told him about Google Earth, he could have saved himself almost half a billion dollars.
