One of the most breathtaking and jaw dropping experiences on can have among things to do before you die list. Seeing Aurora in action with one’s own eyes. Auroras, are also called the northern and southern (polar) lights or aurorae. These are are phenomena of nature and they are strange lights that dance in the sky. They are normally seen at night at magnetic north and south poles.

These strange, dancing light when seen in northern hemisphere are called aurora borealis, named after the Roman goddess of dawn, Aurora, and the Greek name for north wind, Boreas. The aurora borealis is also called the northern polar lights, as it is only visible in the sky from the Northern Hemisphere. The more you are near the magnetic north pole, the more chance you have to see Aurora Borealis. That means you have to travel to the arctic islands of northern Canada or Norway to experience them.

Being at exact magnetic pole does not help much as they are exactly over your head. The real fun of seeing Aurora is from a little distance. As in Berlevag, Norway they illuminate the horizon with a greenish glow that changes colors quickly and sometimes turn into a faint red, as if the sun was rising from an unusual direction.

I just listed benefits of both being a man and benefits of being a women.
