. At 303 Genesee Street in Utica, NY stands the magnificent public library building. In the middle of bustling New York city traffic, this Utica Public Library provide a sweet little escape. It is our place to visit in 2009. The building just oozes history and its gorgeous architecture is second to none. It is over 100 year old. If maintained well enough, I am sure Utica Public Library will last us another hundred years.

A Tour of Utica Public Library

History of Utica Public Library

The Utica public Library was built in the first decade of the 1900’s, and was last renovated in 1991. The property was given to the city by two of Utica’s most famous philanthropists, Thomas R. Proctor and Frederick T. Proctor. They were brothers who had married sisters from another wealthy Utica family. The home of Thomas Proctor and Maria Williams is across the street– it’s a living museum and we have visited it several times. It’s called Fountain Elms.

Ford unveiled the new 2010 Mustang GT convertible at L. A. Auto Show. Customers will have an option of choosing between V-6 and V-8 Models. Both Models have been made with unitized welded steel body with aluminum hoods for reducing body weight. These beautiful cars have been assembled at Flat Rock Plant in Mich.

I specially like the mustang with V8 model with 4.6 liter engine installed at 90 degrees. It is capable of producing whopping 320 Horsepower at 6250 rpm. The Torque is rated at 325 lb.-ft @ approx 4250 rpm. Both of 2010 mustang use 87 octane fuel and are fitted with 16 gallon tanks. Fuel economy figures are not available yet but with current drop in oil prices, it does not matter anymore.

Front and rare suspensions have solid stabilizer bars as well as coil springs. Power steering is pretty much standard. Good thing is smaller turning circle if just under 35 feet. which is impressive looking at length of car. [click to continue…]
