Lisbon is situated in the opening of Tagus River which is also known as “Rio Tejo”. It is said that the discoverers of Lisbon were Phoenicians. The place is famous for its sports and the variety of cultures living together happily. Foreigners usually come to spend their vacations. The place attracts its visitors due to the concerts, theatre, nightlife, and outdoor sports like golf and surfing. The place is said to be invaded many times by the forces of different areas. The place still contains the remains of the cultures that the kings of that time left. It is a kind of paradise for archaeologists and it is said that Vasco Da Gama went to India through the sea route from Lisbon.

People who go there are said to have enjoyed visiting the Lisbon Castle, Lisbon Cathedral, the Belem Tower, and the Jeronimos Monastery. In the year 1983, UNESCO identified this place as one of the World Heritage Sites.
Napoleon Bonaparte attacked this place in the starting of 19th century and became its ruler. It was declared as the first Portuguese Republic in the year 1910 and in 1998 arranged the World Exhibition Expo ’98.

You MUST keep yourself very well hydrated.

Lighten Your Load
a stuffy head or sinus will not help you a great deal when you’re trying to keep your things together! Get as many of your bags checked in as possible. If it costs you a little extra don’t worry, it’ll all be worth is if it gets you a stress free rest on your journey without the later hassle should you lose anything. [click to continue…]
