Commuter’s Delight: Zero Emission Vehicle

Posted by R MAK 20 August, 2008

Commuters usually split gas costs when they share rides. I am wondering that with this ride, the Gas bill would be “0″ , how would they split the bill among them.

This nice little green and echo friendly vehicle is called “Dogsled”. This human powered quad cycle spotted at Woodward and blogged by Ange’s Space. Commuter’s Delight:

The look of this is bit raw, one can’t say if it is a bi-cycle or a car. probably its a hybrid.

Only if its wheels of this car are bit smaller and a nice low weight fiberglass body is attached; it could be next big thing for short commutes and ride sharing.

A Glass body and convertible roof will enable it to be driven in all weathers. Such a machine could easily be produced at below $300 cost. If there is enough boot space to keep weekly grocery, I think I will buy one and use it for my supermarket trips and keep my weight and fuel bill slim.

Although it is a great idea but not a new one. Human driven quad cycles have been around for a while… I am still waiting for one with a steering wheel, roof, windshield , headlights and smaller wheelbase. Let’s see if anyone comes up with one.

One thing is sure that with gas prices going sky high, this type of cars/vehicles are god send as they can save  lot’s of money and also keep america fit and healthy.

I think I saw something like this in France. They rented them out to tourists. If you want to get noticed, rent one of those suckers.

But, there were also tourist segway rentals…might try that first!
